What major historical events do you remember?

I remember when same-sex marriage was legalised in Australia. At the time I was still at university studying my double major in philosophy and psychology. I remember in one of my philosophy tutorials discussing the concept of heteronormativity. I cannot recall a precise year when same-sex marriage was finally legalised, but my guess is that it was sometime between the years of 2014 and 2018.
